Yes, there is a daily limit amount of $3500.00.  You may request a higher limit after submitting at least one check for deposit through the service.  Call your local branch to discuss increased limit options.

What must I do before taking a picture of the check?

What should I do with the check after I have mobile deposited it?

We recommend placing the check in a safe place for 10 days you have received credit for your deposit.  Then you should    destroy the check by shredding it.

The cut off time for mobile deposits is 2:30pm each day.  Mobile deposits made after that time will be credited the following business day.

Do I receive an image of a deposit slip on my statement?
No, there is no record given on your statement as to who you received the mobile deposited check/checks from.  You may either develop a process to track that from home, or you may find that mobile deposit does not work the best for you.

Pay a Person Transfers

Do you owe a friend for your share of the rent?  Did someone make a purchase on your behalf and now you need to pay them back?  Do you want to send your daughter some money for her birthday?  Our Pay a Person transfer feature allows you to make these payments without ever writing a check and then possibly having to stick that check in the mail.

Do I need to know the account information for the person I am sending the money to?

No, what you would need to know is that person’s cell number or email address.  You will log into FMBND online banking/mobile banking and navigate to Pay a Person.  You will then click on the Make a Payment icon.  You will be prompted to enter which of your accounts you wish the payment to be made from, the amount of the payment and then the payees name and contact information.  From this point, the person you are paying will receive a notification, via email or text, saying that you would like to send them money.  Upon accepting your payment, they will be prompted to enter their routing number and account number.

I see the transfers out on my account, but my friend has not received payment yet?

It is normal for the Debit (or the deduction) side of the transaction to post earlier than the credit.  It usually takes three (3) business days for the credit (deposit) to be made, but it may take as long as five (5) business days.

Online Banking

External Self Transfers

This service allows you to transfer funds between your own accounts at FMBND and your own accounts at other financial institutions.

How do I set up an account with the service?

Once logged in to FMBND online/mobile banking, click on the External Self Transfer link, then the Add Your Account link.  There you will be prompted to enter your account information at the other financial institution, you must have the routing number and your account number for the other institution handy.  Once the information is entered, the service makes a small trial deposit and then a trial withdrawal from your account at the other institution within the next business day.  The withdrawal is less than a dollar and it is never larger than the deposit.  Once you know the amounts of the trial transactions, locate the account in the Accounts list and click Activate.  You will be asked to enter the amounts of both trial transactions.  If both values are correct, the account is activated and you are ready to make transfers.

Why is a trial deposit/withdrawal verification of my account required for account setup?

The trial deposit/withdrawal verification process ensures that the rightful owner is setting up the account with the service.  It also ensures that the account information is valid.

Can I send funds to someone else’s account?

No, External Self Transfers only allow you to transfer between your own accounts.   However, you can use the FMBND Pay a Person feature to send payments to other individuals.
